At TAICO we assist students in making and implementing informed educational and occupational choices through comprehensive and developmental programmes.

The mission of Thomas Adewumi International College Sixth Form and Foundation Programme is not only to provide first class educational opportunities for our students, but to form in them habits, attitudes, and values which will give them the capacity to be successful, both in their higher education as well as to become leaders in the competitive world in which they live.

Apart from ensuring academic success for our students at the end of the programmes, you can also use our programmes to assess readiness for university studies, especially for students that are too young to travel abroad or proceed into universities. Students travelling abroad are placed into desired universities as requested by their parents. While with us, they are subjected to rigorous academic work and discipline. They are expected to thrive by meeting their parents/sponsors grade expectations before they are advised to school abroad.

Doing the right thing,
at the right time.

. Academic Enrichment

With high quality learning opportunities, we support and recognize individual and collective achievements. We have multi-layered system of tutorial and care to ensure the development of self confidence in learners for an optimal life. We encourage the students to participate in various educative seminars, workshop, academic conferences, local and international competitions, expanding both their academic and creative their horizon.

. Career Guidance

At TAICO we assist students in making and implementing informed educational and occupational choices through comprehensive and developmental programmes. Our career guidance and counselling programme develops students’ competencies in self-knowledge, educational and occupational exploration, that’s why this career planning starts early, so that they can begin to consider their future direction long before they need to do so. In the Sixth Form, the student have periodic careers and university guidance as part of the Lecture Programme, as well as discussions with their tutors.

. Holistic Education

At TAICO we are interested in engaging and developing the students not just academically, but also physically, emotionally and spiritually. We believe success outside the classroom is as important as the success/achievement within the classroom. Hence, we value a rich mixture of extra-curricular activities that span the academic year to produce learners with a wide range of skills and who are knowledgeable in different areas. We provide the students with a diversity of experiences and richness of different cultures. Our vision of the holistic leader means somebody who acknowledges and honours their own complexity, who recognizes that we all co-create our world, and who takes responsibility for their own part in this process, utilizing both their inner (intellect, insight and imagination) and outer (natural, social and political environment) resources.

. Community Service

At TAICO we try to be part of the local community through voluntary work, or through co-ed sports, arts, music and drama. We believe in giving to society and we want our students to also value both the school and local community by engaging in societal contributions that will enable the growth and development of the respective community. Community service provides the students with opportunities to become active in the community and positive contributors to society. It enables them to acquire skills and knowledge as well as provide to others that need it in some way. In the school community, the students have engaged in a large number of projects, a notable one being the construction of a barber shop for the male students. A memorable societal contribution towards the local community include providing food provision and materials to Hope Orphanage, Idofan, Kwara State.
